Flex is the enemy of responsiveness in both surfing and pumping, so we engineered this mast to be slightly thicker at the fuselage connection, dramatically increasing stiffness without compromising overall efficiency.

Though it’s a touch thicker than the Katana mast and theoretically slower, in practice the added rigidity lets riders fly higher and longer on the mast, reducing wetted surface area and cutting drag. This means more efficient pumping, better speed retention, and smoother rides overall.

For heavier riders or those using larger wings, the benefits of reduced flex translate immediately to improved foil control and enhanced stability through turns. The vertical leading edge and untapered bottom 40% of the mast create a reliable foil section in the water that delivers consistent, confident movement—allowing you to push harder with increased flow and precision.

At 800mm, this mast hits the sweet spot for prone surfing, tow-in, and downwind foiling. The redesigned baseplate features bolts set closer together, allowing for 1.2 inches more forward positioning in your tracks and a tapered connection to the mast, which further reduces drag during takeoff and touchdowns.
